I'm a forever learner, doer, and optimist.

My Work: Here is each "era" I've had in my non-linear path to today.

Reseller | Ages 16-23

Started buying and selling sneakers. Quit my first job. Self-funded college after high school. Launched a business (the Alerts era) to share my experience with others...

Alerts | Ages 18-23

Started in 2018, Alerts was a paid community for resellers that served 4,500+ members in 5 years (best business to date). The model slowly began to fail. This led to me creating Alerts Daily (next era)...

Alerts Daily | Ages 22-23

Launched in 2022, Alerts Daily was a media company with an audience of 500k, ~4M monthly impressions, and 35k email subscribers. Soon after this launch, I closed my paid community (Alerts). Sold this business 11 months later.

Reach | Ages 23-24

Built on the back of the Alerts Daily acquisition, Reach is a specialized marketing agency I started in 2023. After 1 year, I served half the addressable market. And realized Reach couldn't be a sustainable business. Winded down services... Started finishing my college degree.

I only included work that built onto my experience... I've done internships and have gone to college. But up until now, my knowledge has been earned by scrapping elbows to get results at the companies I've built.

My work - Alerts

What I did...

I was one of 3 founders of Alerts. My job was to grow memberships. I owned marketing, customer acquisition, and user experience. This was my first company. And it was my own MBA in marketing. I learned how to manage my time, ad budgets, understand people why people buy, and how to handle people.

  • Marketing: Established an influencer program, managed paid ads (Meta and native), built the brand's social audience, managed a marketing budget

  • Copywriting: Conducted user research, designed website copy, organic social posts, scripted organic short and long form video, wrote copy on transactional emails (purchase, renewals, cancelation), made paid ad copy, wrote influencer ad reads

  • Customer Acquisition: Managed monthly membership launches, created sustainable sales funnel (using brands organic audience), built user referral system

  • Project Management: Established roadmaps for my web developers to build member tools, websites, and admin tools.

Notable accomplishments...

  1. Used organic content and partnerships to grow an audience of followers 40,000 on Instagram

  2. Grew annual recurring revenue from $0 to a peak of $350,000 in 2 years

  3. Acquired 4,500 total members across the United States and Canada

My work - Alerts Daily

When membership sales for Alerts (paid community) slumped, I bought out my partners and started Alerts Daily. The social audience for Alerts was strong. And I believed I could do more by dropping the paid community and focusing on the media business (social media and daily newsletter).Running the media business solo. I leaned into my marketing and writing, while adding direct sales to my toolbelt.

What I did...

  • Marketing: Developed social audience, cross-promoted to launch the brand on new social platforms, improved existing social strategy, owned content calendar, prepared audience insights reports (GA4, Bing, GSC), attribution reports, content analysis

  • Copywriting: Wrote and published daily newsletter, scripted organic short form videos, newsletter ads, scripted sponsored video ads

  • Growth: Executed experiments for audience growth, optimized landing pages with A/B tests, documented social algorithm, developed audience retention strategies

  • Sales: Automated inbound inquiries, documented organization structures, created personalized cold emails, researched non-public work emails, made quarterly media kits, hosted sales presentations for sponsors, managed sponsored content

Examples of the work...

Notable accomplishments...

  1. Developed organic social strategy that resulted in ~4M unique impressions monthly.

  2. Expanded Alerts Daily's audience from 40k to 500k+ across multiple social media platforms.

  3. Built an organic growth strategy that grew the email newsletter to ~35k subscribers

  4. Sold the business within 11 months (Story of the acquisition)

My work - Reach

After Alerts Daily was acquired, I started my marketing agency Reach to fill a void in the newsletter industry. The void? Most newsletters use paid ads to grow their subscriber base. I grew my newsletter (Alerts Daily) using organic social media. So I began to offer a solution of "organic growth" as a service to other newsletter companies.Running the agency, I had even more time to sharpen my writing and sales skills.

Note: All of Reach's clients were media companies. They all had different focuses (finance, business, entertainment, marketing, sports, politics, etc).

What I did...

  • Copywriting: scripted short form videos, created organic social posts (professional/casual)

  • Operations: Documented social media strategy, created processes for my team of editors, created on-boarding process for clients

  • Sales: Automated inbound inquiries, documented organization structures, created personalized cold emails, researched non-public work emails, hosted sales presentations for clients

Examples of the work...

Notable accomplishments...

  1. Used cold outreach campaigns to reach $10,000 in revenue in the first month

  2. Implemented customer acquisition strategies to hit 85% of client's goals (ex. audience or subscriber growth)
